Dear Mother, Dad and David,
I just finished a letter to grandma and thought I'd answer your letter of April 18 which I got today before I go to bed.
Things are still the same up here as they were before. The weather is a lot nicer though and we are getting some real sunny days instead of the fog and rain we were so use to.
Here is a clipping I thought might interest you. Actually this is about all I know about the recent move to slow down the bombing. Vinh is an airfield about 24 miles from us. We can usually see the explosions from the air raids there on a clear night.
I hope everyone had a chance to hear the tape from Bill and me and enjoyed it as much as we did in making it.
I am glad to hear you passed the LPN test and now can count on what you'll be doing next fall.
I got another box of slides today. As soon as I get another tape cartridge from you I'll send the slides with an explanation on tape.
I got two papers yesterday dated April 14 + 16. I am willing to read them if they are still willing to send them to me.
Here are some stamps I've saved for you.
The Stars + Stripes have pretty good coverage on the baseball season and it looks like the Cubs and White Sox are having a little trouble starting off on the right foot.
David, I got your note about recieving the souveniers I sent you. It was good to hear from you. You mentioned that you now have a pigeon and a duck. It sounds like you are going to start a zoo. Now all you need is some rabbits and a few more pets. On second thought a duck and a pigeon demand a lot of attention and they should keep you pretty busy. Keep at your schoolwork and be a good boy. Before you know it you'll be out of school for good and wish you were back in. So make the most of it now.
Well thats all there is to say for now. I'll be waiting to hear from you. So long.
Your son,
Mike
